The first movie was released in 2015 and is based on the first book in the series, Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder. It introduces us to Hannah Swensen and her small-town life. We also meet her friends and family, including Lisa, who is murdered in the first movie.

The movie was directed by Mark Jean and written by Joanne Fluke, Nancey Silvers, and Donald Martin. It starred Alison Sweeney as Hannah Swensen, Cameron Mathison as Detective Mike Kingston, and Lisa Durupt as Lisa Swanson.

Everything is going fine in Hannah’s life, but one day, her life turns upside down when her friend, Lisa, is murdered. The only evidence the police have is a half-eaten chocolate chip cookie. Hannah sets out to find the killer and clear her name. 

Detective Mike Kingston takes on the case, but Hannah doesn’t believe he will find the killer. She takes matters into her own hands and starts investigating. Along the way, she finds out that Lisa is hiding a secret from her. Mike is unfamiliar with the place, and it’s irritating Hannah. So, she starts to help Mike with the investigation, and in doing so, they begin to fall for each other.

The second movie was released in 2015 and is based on the second book in the series, Plum Pudding Murder. In this movie, Hannah sets out to clear her name after she is accused of murdering her rival, Claire Daniels.

Ross is now a doctor and is marrying a woman named Claire. Claire is pregnant with Ross’ child and is due any day now. Ross asks Hannah to be his best man, and she agrees.

At the bachelor party, Ross’ best friend, Neil, dies of poisoning. Ross is the prime suspect, and Hannah sets out to clear his name. With the help of Mike, they find out that Neil was poisoned with plum pudding.

The third movie was released in 2016 and is based on the third book in the series, Peach Cobbler Murder. In this movie, Hannah investigates the murder of her friend, Bill.

After thinking a lot, Hannah finally decides that she would choose mike out of the two, and she breaks off her engagement with Ross. 

Just when things were going well, Hannah’s mother, Delores, was accused of murdering her business partner, Herb. Herb was found dead in his office with a peach cobbler.

Hannah sets out to clear her mother’s name and finds out that Herb is cheating on his wife with another woman. He was also embezzling money from the company. The woman he was cheating on his wife with is Delores’s niece, Charlotte.

Meanwhile, Melanie Quinn, an old friend of Mike’s, arrives in town and starts flirting with him. Hannah gets jealous and starts to distance herself from Mike.

Hannah sets out to clear Vaughn’s name. She finds out that Allison is cheating on Vaughn with his campaign manager, Jake. Allison was also planning to leave Vaughn and take their child with her. Everything is turned upside down when Vaughn is also found dead. 

When she informs the police, they arrest Jake for both murders. But Hannah is not convinced that Jake is the killer. She does some more digging and finds out that Mayor Daley is also having an affair with Allison.

When Pam is also found dead, Katie becomes the prime suspect. But Hannah is not convinced that Katie is the killer. She does some more digging and finds out that Pam is also having an affair with the school’s janitor, Frank.

Frank is also the father of Hannah’s ex-boyfriend, Ross. Ross arrives in town and helps Hannah with the investigation. In the end, Ross and Hannah get back together.

When Dirk is also found dead, Jordan becomes the prime suspect. But Hannah is not convinced that Jordan is the killer. She does some more digging and finds out that Dirk is also having an affair with his secretary, Tina.
